| OVERALL RATING: 2 |
Took a stroll downtown on our day off and ventured into Saffron. We have enjoyed their fine pastries on many occasions but this was the first time we had lunch there. I had a lamb gyro with fries and my husband had a cup of delicious she-crab soup and a chicken-salad sandwich on a croissant. My sandwich was just ok but my husband's was good.
Just like the rating, this bathroom was "hover zone". The bathroom was a decent sized room with two stalls. The space was a little dingy looking with absolutely no pictures or decorations. There were no seat covers, and no feminine waste baskets. The toilet was not spotless and the toilet scrubber was chilling, uncovered, in the corner of the stall. The soap dispensed an interesting olive oil concoction which was ok, but then I looked up into a hazy mirror, as if it had a few months of dust collected on it. It was hard to even notice the fake flower arrangement above the sink. The "futuristic" hand dryer was not so effective. A for looks but F for performance on the dryer. To top it off, there was no "employee's wash hands sign".
Stick to the sweets and pastries here and if you have to go, try another place down the street!
